On September 29, 2020, Grainrus officially joined the Union of Russian Producers of Beer and Non-alcoholic Products at an extraordinary meeting of members of the Union of Russian Brewers in Moscow.
Grainrus is a leading company in the Russian market for the production and sale of raw materials for the brewing industry. Since 1997, the company has been a supplier of raw materials for the leading brewing productions in Russia and the CIS, including transnational corporations, as well as the largest producers of well-known brands of beer.
Grainrus is not only a permanent participant in Russian and international industry exhibitions, but also an organizer of its own conferences for brewers. The company also annually acts as a general sponsor of major forums and festivals for professionals in the brewing industry.
Over the years, the company has established itself as a reliable supplier, and also proved its expertise not only in matters of technology and beer production, but also in matters of regulation of the raw materials market.
The company owns its malt house in the city of Kursk, which produces up to 125,000 tons of light malt, as well as up to 6,500 tons of special malts ranging from 20 to 1,400 EBC under the Kursk Malt brand.
Joining the union is an important step in strengthening the company's position on the Russian market as a key player, and also provided an opportunity to exchange information on the market situation and its regulation together with other members of the union.
The union already includes 92 companies that have 92 production sites in the Russian Federation and produce more than 80% of beer in the country.
